The windows of Yemerica Coffee in Hartford County loudly proclaim it's coming soon. Though the owners have not given any definitive date of when that will be, several people have posted their excitement online about the prospect of having a Yemen coffee house close to home.

The coffee shop is located at 1000 Farmington Ave. in West Hartford. The cafe hasn't released its menu, but a Yelp page for the business says it will serve breakfast, brunch, coffee, and tea.

Yemerica Coffee was incorporated earlier this year and says it's "where tradition meets taste," in the cafe's social media posts.

Yemeni coffee has grown in popularity in recent years. TakeOut tried to explain the difference between an American cup of joe and the Middle Eastern brew.

Where Italian espresso is smooth, Yemeni coffee tastes more rustic, which stems from the fact that it is grown at high altitudes, then milled and dried in the sun before roasting.

The website advised anyone new to Yemeni coffee to try it without milk or sugar to taste the cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves infused into the beans during roasting.
